AFUE Cost Savings

How Much Can I Save?

Many factors determine the efficiency of your heating system. They include the part of the country you live in, your local utility costs, and the construction of your home. One factor you can control is the efficiency of your furnace. The efficiency of a furnace is measured in AFUE (Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency) percentage. The AFUE rating works much in the same way as miles per gallon-the higher the AFUE percentage, the higher the efficiency. If your old unit is 10 to 15 years old, its efficiency rating is probably around 60-65% AFUE. Compare that to the 92.1% AFUE rating of this furnace and you begin to get an idea of the potential savings.

‡ Savings percentage based on national averages, may vary according to efficiency of current unit and installation.
